Fiver #7 will be co-presented by Rocky Mountain Bicycles and BC Bike Race on the eve of the 2015 BCBR! Rocky celebrates its 35th anniversary this year and we like to host the race in fitting 80’s style. Dress up in your favourite Jane Fonda tights or your acid washed jeans with unicorn and rainbows sweaters.

The race will take place on Seymour and the staging area is the by now well known Parkgate Park. The after party will be at the Raven Pub! Ride down after the race for a free beer and a couple of slices of delicious pizza. There will be a secure bike valet and a DJ blasting 80’s tunes all night long.

Sign in will run from 5:45pm to 6:45pm. There is no fixed start time, you can start out onto the course once you have signed in.

Remember you MUST be a current paid NSMBA member to participate.

Much work has been completed over the past 6 months, building upon the years prior to bring many trails to a sustainable standard.

The NSMBA would like to thank both the Cascadia Enduro Series & the BC Enduro Series for their donation of $2500 back into the trails from the proceeds of the North Shore Enduro in May.  Both Josh Carlson (1st) and Adam Craig (2nd) from Team GIANT gave back an unsolicited $100 each from their prize purse to the NSMBA.
The NSMBA would like to acknowledge this good deed and extend an Honorary 2015 NSMBA Membership to both Adam & Josh to acknowledge their support.

A big thank you to Norco John Henry Bikes and all the volunteers who gave up a sunny Saturday of riding to give back to the trails they love!

More than thirty turned out for this public trail day to get their hands dirty. Work focussed on water management through the switchbacks that bypass the signature rock face and on the lower section of trail just above the exit to the power lines. Several grade reversals were built to direct water off the trail, while other sections were raked and topped up with gold, also to facilitate water dispersal.
