Fall Trail Report - November

The work to replace expired woodwork continues. Work on Pangor is nearly complete, with one wooden berm rebuilt and another soon on its way.  This on top of the work over the past several weeks. Most recently, a boxed transition was installed on the optional drop and boardwalk between the wooden berms has been replaced.  Big thanks to Pat Podolski, Sean Gerke & Sven Luebke for the lions share of the work.

Digger continues to buff up Expresso on an ongoing basis, most recently upper Expresso.

Spring Trail Update

TAP 2015 is in full swing and work has begun on nearly 30 different trails on Fromme & Seymour.  With nearly 20 lead builders and 30 adopters, the program is stronger than ever.  As we catch up on deferred maintenance, the window of neglect is slowly closing giving us the opportunity to put the icing on the cake on many trails.  2015 is shaping up to be our best year yet!  Thank you to all of you who are part of the efforts.

Team Arc'teryx continue their improvements on Dreamweaver as part of TAP, now into year 4.

2015 TAP Builders

The NSMBA would like to recognize and thank our team of hard working builders.

The NSMBA team of builders are experienced professionals trained to achieve the highest quality of trail building possible while remaining dedicated to a duty of care. Through the Trail Adoption Program (TAP), our builders lead volunteer community groups to make sustainable improvements that respect the environment. The NSMBA meets on site with the Land Manager(s) to engage in a collaborative process to create a trail plan for each trail that will adhere to current best management practices.

2014 Trail Report

While we strategically plan for 2015, its been an incredibly successful past year for our community on the trail front.  Combine TAP trail days in 2014 (90), 2014 Public Trail Days (9) and 2014 Academy Trail Days (6) we collectively have surpassed the centurion marker in 2014!  100 has been a long standing marker we've aimed for over the past few years. Finally achieving this is a milestone for the NSMBA and is a testament to the collective community spirit that is driving this forward.
We are working together as a community like never before. We are working together with the Land Managers (LM) to find solutions and understand the process, at times creating the process as we go, but we have earned our place with our efforts and have become a valued and integral part of the LM Trail strategy. With a growing list of support from the business community, generous donors, and an army of well educated & trained volunteers, there is tremendous momentum as we march into 2015. Thank you to all of you who have been part of these efforts.  For those in our community who wish to be part of the effort moving forward in 2015, the door is open for you to join in this movement.
Please find below our summary of accomplishments in 2014.
